Opened in May 2015, this environmentally sustainable guesthouse is located in the modern, eco-friendly Hunziker-Areal in the northern part of Zurich, a 5-minute walk from the fairgrounds and the indoor stadium Each room at the Gastehaus Hunziker features a tablet PC for free use, free WiFi access, wooden floors, and a private bathroom Rainwater is collected and used for flushing the toilets Heat pumps use waste heat from a nearby data processing centre for heating and warm water The solar panels on the roof cover around 40% of the guesthouses electricity use Energy-efficient LED lighting is used as well
