This beautiful country house hotel from 1861, set in 28 acres of wonderful gardens and 4 Gold Stars -Visit Scotland- for affordable luxury 30 km from Edinburgh The hotel was also awarded by AA as Scotlands Hotel Of The Year 201314 Despite its peaceful rural location, Cringletie House is only about 30 minutes drive from Edinburgh and Edinburgh Airport The convenient, yet secluded location makes the small country-house hotel ideal for a relaxing or romantic break The restaurant with hand-painted ceiling provides excellent fine dining The a la carte menu changes seasonally to reflect the finest, freshest produce available locally Many dishes feature ingredients from the hotels 400-year-old walled kitchen garden The idyllic location and beautifully appointed accommodation makes the hotel a superb base for the Tweed Valley
