This hotel of great warmth and character is situated between Torquays town centre and marina, and Babbacombe Downs with their magnificent sea views The hotel derives its name from the enchanting Ansteys Cove, Torquay, once a smugglers haven Ansteys Lea was originally a Victorian gentlemans residence and became a small hotel in 1946 The buildings traditional Victorian ceiling with cornices and roses are a wonderful architectural feature The hotel is on the main bus route into Torquay city centre, which takes a matter of minutes Within 10 minutes stroll you can be in Torquays centre enjoying the Edwardian Pavilion, the lights and the harbour
